Reimagining Seiko's classic 1970s SNXS design architecture into a modern 32mm mid-size silhouette, this timepiece features the iconic "Hebitama" helmet-style case profile. It serves as a versatile everyday luxury watch that transitions effortlessly from formal business attire to casual weekend wear.  The defining visual highlight of this SRE023 reference is its rich double cream dial face. The dial surface is elevated by fine surface details that create subtle depth under varying light conditions. Applied gold-tone hour markers and matching luminescent hands treated with Seiko's proprietary LumiBrite provide optimal low-light legibility. A dual day and date window sits prominently at the 3 o'clock position to complete the classic Seiko 5 layout.  Beneath its refined exterior, the watch is driven by the in-house Seiko Caliber 2R06 automatic mechanical movement. Operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour  with 21 jewels, this self-winding engine offers manual hand-winding capability, second-hand hacking for precise time setting, and a dependable power reserve of up to 40 hours.  The 32mm watch case is meticulously crafted from marine-grade 316L stainless steel featuring a refined combination of brushed and polished surfaces. Protecting the dial face is a curved Hardlex crystal designed for high impact resistance. Built with classic Seiko 5 sports durability, the case incorporates a recessed crown at the 4 o'clock position and a screw-down caseback achieving a certified 100-meter (10 bar / 330 ft) water resistance rating, making it fully suitable for daily swimming and aquatic activities.
