The Casio Edifice EFK-100YD-3AJF is a significant departure for the Edifice line, representing a new direction into mechanical watchmaking with a heavy focus on high-performance automotive aesthetics. Released in July 2025, this Japan Domestic Market (JDM) model is often nicknamed the "Forged Carbon Automatic" due to its unique dial. The deep green face is crafted using an electroforming technique that perfectly replicates the marbled, high-tech texture of forged carbon fiber used in luxury sports cars.Unlike most Edifice models that use quartz or solar movements, the EFK-100YD-3AJF is powered by the Seiko NH35-based Caliber 5755. This 24-jewel automatic movement offers manual winding and hacking seconds, with a 40-hour power reserve. The watch features a 39mm stainless steel case with a compact 43.5mm lug-to-lug distance, though the integrated-style H-link bracelet extends the effective length to about 49mm. The mechanical "heart" is fully visible through a see-through screw-in case back, while the front is protected by a premium scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an internal anti-reflective coating.
